Time we gave you a few facts about the BCA situation. On a visit to BCA reception on 10th September, I was informed that our shooting facility was closed to us and no access to the bowling hall allowed for archers. I was shocked. I was informed that this was because of "conflict" in the club. I asked what was meant by that and it was then the that I was personally accused of "bringing a team of coaches in from other clubs."
I said this was untrue and that even if it was, I would be breaking no rule or regulation and in fact this has happened in the past several times.
When pressed about my accusers, I was given a name and was told that this person was not the only one involved. Your committee is investigating this matter. Questions have been asked and continue to be asked.
I said that everything being done regarding coaching was in line with committee decisions. I then asked for an appointment with management and was refused. I have since followed up on that request in writing but it has so far been ignored.
We are trying our best to get, information, representation and access to our own equipment which is stored in the Hall.
I am sorry that there is no good news yet but believe me, we are trying every option open to us to make some progress.
Dave Crow and I met up with County officials on Monday night to discuss the present difficulties in our club. They were very helpful and supportive. We were pleased to have their backing for the actions we have taken so far and those we are about to take.
